Workshop in San Francisco / Registration Open
The California College of the Arts, School of Architecture in San Francisco organizes FLUX 2009, a series of workshops and lectures investigating Architecture and Design’s evolving relationship with parametric design and digital fabrication.
The workshops are open to students and professionals in the design disciplines. The schedule includes Beyond Parametric Modeling with solidThinking, a 2 days workshop that will explore solidThinking and the freedom it provides to create design concepts for architectural design and product development.
solidThinking at SolidWorks World 2009
We will be making our debut appearance at SolidWorks World next week, Feb. 8-11 in Orlando, Florida, USA to join fellow SolidWorks World Solutions Partners.
Some members of the solidThinking team – including Robert Little, president, and Jim Hassberger, vice president of business development and customer relations – will be on site to showcase solidThinking’c capabilities and compatibility with CAD/CAM systems. They’re excited to share the recently introduced plug-in for SolidWorks with show attendees. Darren Chilton, one of our product specialist, will also be leading demos of solidThinking for booth visitors.
For those of you attending the event, we look forward to seeing you at the booth 1012! Can’t meet us there? Check out one Webinars, available several times each month or join us virtually by following us on Twitter, joining our Facebook fan page or subscribing to our YouTubeChannel.

Prototipi Design, an italian design firm with offices in Bergamo, Milan and Turin and a long-time solidThinking user, won recently the 2009 edition of the Millenium Yacht Design Award in the Motor section. Their “Origami” project was awarded for the original morphological research, unconventional for motor yacths.
